I am drawn to this set of Victorian Sluice gates on the Filleigh Estate in North Devon. Once a formidable piece of engineering that controlled the flow of water to power a saw mill, now lies largely forgotten. But the textures, hues, shapes and form of the decaying wood and rusting metal is a joy to photograph.
